I am the President and founder of wantable.co, a curated ecommerce company focused on women’s beauty products. Our goal at wantable.co is to develop a deep relationship with our customers and offer them a platform for discovery. Because each customer is unique, wantable.co dynamically adjusts the product assortment for each user. Gone are the things customers don’t want; gone are the walks down the aisles of products for other people. Wantable.co is a beautiful new thing.
Prior to wantable.co, I founded BUYSEASONS, Inc. in 1999 and served as President and CEO until December, 2010. BUYSEASONS is the largest retailer and supplier of costumes and party supplies on the Internet. Prior to starting BUYSEASONS in 1999, I co-founded specialty retail company GMI in 1995 at age 22. During my tenure, GMI became one of Wisconsin’s fastest growing companies, and the largest seasonal retailer in Milwaukee, before I sold my interest to my business partner Jon Majdoch in 2000. GMI is still in business and successful today, a testament to our commitment to building self-sustaining organizations.
During my career I have been recognized numerous times as a successful leader and marketer. In addition to being featured on Inc. Magazine’s list of 500 fastest growing companies in 2005 and 2006, I was named one of the 40 most successful people in Wisconsin under the age of 40, and Entrepreneur Magazine’s hot 100 lists in 2004. In 2010 I received Business Person of the Year award from the City of New Berlin and BUYSEASONS was named one of the top 100 places to work in SE Wisconsin.
