What I mean is; is there an opportunity to make money (big money) by focusing on low-technology products and applications? As I’ve l looked out on the horizon for the ‘next big thing’ until now I made the asumption it will be some sort of high-tech iPad-Facebook-Twitter device. This WIRED article made me pause long enough to think there may be an opportunity to make money applying old (and therefore reliable and cost effective) technology to solve simple problems. Next time you’re in the airport searching for an outlet to charge your phone, or laptop ask yourself if you could be the next MacGyver?
